Welcome.
Guideway was formed to empower young men to cope with mental illness through the acquisition of personal coping skills and increasing socialization. Guideway works to provide you with continued services and support that can often lapse after adolescence. We provide consistent and reliable services to families and individuals in the greater Chicagoland area through therapeutic mentoring, individual and family therapy, and socialization groups. Our focused services lead the way toward more independence, as well as, providing strategic interventions and guidance to young men to navigate through the difficulties of adulthood.
What is Offered?
Effective treatment approaches will be incorporated that will emphasize teaching of social skills, adaptive life skills, and improving clients’ self esteem. We work with young men with mental illness and developmental delay and their families in finding solutions to the daily stressors that may often feel overwhelming. Phone consultation and support may also be available.
Who is it for?
Guideway is geared toward young men that have mental illness and/or developmental delay in helping them overcome individual and social obstacles that will improve their quality of life.
